who is bob mcandrew?
Bob McAndrew was hired by Lucille Ball to head her talent program at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. He is the former assistant to the late, great Wynn Handman. Bob has studied with Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Michael Howard, and Charles Conrad.
Bob's teaching is eclectic. He draws from a diverse range of sources, including his years as a movie coach working with John Huston, Alan Pakula, and Luc Besson in Paris. He taught in London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, and Buenos Aires. His former students include Raul Julia, Christopher Walken, Chris Cooper, Sela Ward, John Stamos, Gloria Reuben, David Paymer, Corbin Bernsen, Tom Selleck, Sam Elliot, and Jon Lindstrom.
Bob's technique classes and individual coaching sessions foster an environment where actors can play, let go of tension, and explore what it means to build a strong character. Bob's coaching allows actors to take risks and feel confident in their choices.
